[DIGITAL ONBOARDER] INTERNSHIP AND APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
OBJECTIVE:
Acquire 10 Digital and Soft Skills To Assist Nano, Micro and Small Businesses (nMSB) in Your Community to Use Basic Digital Tools to Grow Their Businesses While Honing your Skills to Become Active Economic AGENTS enabling nMSB to:
(i). Develop innovative products and services (ii). improve their business process; reduce cost of doing business and standardize their operations (iii). identify, get product and services to and grow the customer base (iv). drive profitability and (v). expand business to new location, products or services
SCOPE:
- #ItsUp2YOUth Moral Rearmament And Career Discovery Workshop
- Digital Business Profiling, Optimization And Transformation
- Digital Marketing Certification, Hand Holding And Mentoring
- Customer-Centric Community Businesses Engagement Fieldwork
- Personal Economic Empowerment And Development Strategy Exercise

- Assigned to a mentor, business for digital onboarding and optimization INTERNSHIP or businesses for APPRENTICESHIP
- Receive weekly task based internship/apprenticeship data support and transportation stipends

- Nigerian Youth (aged 18-35 years old) Not in Education, Employment or Training in the last 3-5 years
- 40% young women
- 5% persons with disability
- 80% secondary school leavers
- 20% yet to complete secondary school
- 80% below the poverty line
- 30% urban
- 45% Semi Urban
- 25% Rural
- 35% Single parent
- 20% Exposed to Gender Based Violence,
- 5% Single Mothers and
- 45% with low expectations about future employability opportunities

| Shortlisted candidates for 1st cohort notified | September 10th, 2023 |
| 1st cohort ON-THE-JOB profile activated, assigned to mentor and pre-training engagement starts | September 15th, 2023 |
| Committed and successful pre-training participants start physical training | October 2nd, 2023 |
| 1st cohort completes 3 weeks training and are connected to Internship or Apprenticeship | October 15th, 2023 |
| 1st Cohort connected to Internship or Apprenticeship | November 1st, 2023 |
| Youth ON-THE-JOB get daily support from Mentor to grow their employers’/clients’ business(es) for 3 months | November 1st, 2023 - January 31st, 2024 |
| Successful ON-THE-JOB participants start 3 months Career Certification and Mentoring | February 1st, 2024 |
GRADUATION:
ON-THE-JOB Participants graduate with a Personal Economic Empowerment And Development Strategy Document, receive an ACTIVE YOUTH ECONOMIC AGENTS CERTIFICATE and inducted into the Network.
